Plastic Omnium has set up a dedicated Division "New Energies Division" focusing on
Hydrogen Storage, Fuel Cell Stack and Systems, and Integrated Hydrogen Systems.

MISSION
The plant SQ technican is responsible of delivering conform material and parts for the production line by:

  • ensure that the defined control are performed & necessary documentation is available (CPCL / material certificate/ Conformity report.)
- monitoring materials & components for any detected defects
- lead the problem-solving activities for suppliers' quality issues detected in serial phase.

MISSIONS AND RESEPONCIBILITES

Prototype phase:

  • Work in collaboration with Supplier Quality Development Engineer and Project Buer to track the components delivery and quality status
  • Check the component's documentation for each prototype delivery and verify its conformity.
  • Ensure the archiving of the conformity evidence for each prototype delivery.
  • Perform the incoming inspection defined control on time (Dimensional measurement, testing.)
  • Ensure that the components / materials are available on time for the production with a clear status (Compliant / Approved with deviation).
  • Provide clear problem description to the SQDE for the detected nonconformities (OK situation vs NOK situation / Standard).
  • Track the problemsolving activity with the SQDE and suppliers.
  • Block the components with NC quality status or missing documentation and communicate the status to SQDE and project team
  • When applicable, ensure that all deviation request (SRDW) is approved by the responsible persons (SQDE / QE / CDE) with the related risk assessment before releasing the parts / material.
  • Report risks linked to nonrespect of Quality, Cost & Timing of the project

Hand-over phase:

  • To take over the responsibility from SQDE during handover process (up to SOP + 6 months)
  • Make sure all relevant information for a smooth transition is communicated to the plant.
  • Verify that all components PSW are signed by suppliers and PPAP approved in the system.

PROFILE

Personal Background

  • BAchelor or Master degree (Preferably in Quality)
  • 5 years experience in Quality area (preferably in the automotive sector)

Job Technical skills

  • Indepth knowledge of Quality tools (APQP, Problem solving, FMEA, Control plan, continuous improvement ) and quality standards (VDA 6.3, ISO 9001, IATF 16949), customers requirements.
  • Excellent understanding of automotive requirements (understanding of train industry requirements is a +)
  • Fluency in foreign language(s) business level, English is a Must, Dutch (Flemish) is a Plus
  • Strong organizational skills and prioritize tasks to meet department objectives with timely manner
  • Master pack office and SAP
  • Have to understand the impact of his/her activities on the quality objectives (services & products) and understand the potential risks of a non compliance on the products designed and delivered by Plastic Omnium NEW ENERGIES to its customer
