As part of this programme in the Business Compliance team, you will not only develop the technical and interpersonal skills needed in your future career at Pictet but will also be given the opportunity to build a network of peers within the company.
Your roleYou will be a member of the 1st line of defence in charge of anti-money laundering/anti-terrorist financing (AML) matters of Bank Pictet , succursale de Luxembourg, and other locations in Europe.
As a Business Compliance Manager, you will contribute to:- Reviewing new clients' onboarding files, performing AML-related controls in line with the Group client acceptance policy (including tax-related matters), drafting account opening synthesis documents and presenting cases to the approbation committee.
- Conducting searches and investigations relating to clients and their associates as well as business partners.
- Organising and conducting monitoring activities of higher-risk transactions ( analysis of "hits", concluding on cases, etc.) using specific IT tools (client database screening, transaction monitoring, payment filtering, etc.) to ensure AML/market abuse compliance.
- Overseeing the process in place for regularly updating KYC business relationship information by relationship managers, using a risk-based approach.
- Conducting periodic reviews for existing clients.
- Identifying higher risk situations to be escalated to the 2nd line of defence teams.
- Providing counsel and assistance to Front teams related to AML/market abuse topics, as well as collaborating with the 2nd line of defence teams.
As a graduate, you will work in a compliance environment under the mentorship of your peers, rotating both within the PWM Business Risk and Compliance community but also within other relevant departments of the Bank to give you a good overview of the full value chain.
At the end of the programme you will be ready to take full ownership of a position as Business Compliance Manager.
Your profile- University degree with a demonstrable interest in compliance and AML matters.
- Maximum of 2 years' experience in a similar function with a bank or financial-sector professional, or in an audit function (internal/external) dealing with AML.
- Qualities such as curiosity, a desire to learn, humility, analytical skills and teamwork are valued. A pragmatic and down-to-earth mindset is essential to thrive in our diverse environment.
- Fluent in French, English and German; any additional European language would be a plus.
- Willingness to pass appropriate certifications ( CAMS)
