About CONEBI**:
CONEBI is the association representing the Bicycle, E-Bike, Parts & Accessories industries in Europe, meaning more than 1,000 companies.
Based in Brussels, CONEBI works with policymakers and other stakeholders to ensure that the industry continues to be taken into consideration in the EU decision making process.
As Co-Chair with the European Commission DG Grow of the Mobility Transition Pathway for the Cycling Industry, CONEBI is also among the initiators of the EU advocacy movement that is asking for a first-ever EU Cycling Strategy, following the important resolution by the EU Parliament in February of 2023.
CONEBI is also founding member of the World Bicycle Industry Association WBIA, responsible for the advocacy work with the United Nations and the World Health Organization.
What we're looking for:
CONEBI is looking for a Communications, Media & Events Manager to join its team in Brussels.
Working with the rest of the CONEBI team, and the CONEBI members, you will manage and implement the CONEBI communications strategies.
You will play a crucial role in promoting Europe's leading industry and help raise awareness about key issues through effective communication actions.
- At least two years of communication experience, preferably in industry or a trade association;
- A proven track record in creating compelling written and visual content for a wide range of audiences;
- An understanding of the EU, its processes and policies;
- Excellent communication skills (oral and written) in English. Knowledge of an additional European language (e.g. French/German/Spanish) is a plus;
- Solid experience with CMS (WordPress), video and image editing.
- Experience in managing social media content and channels;
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines;
- Outstanding interpersonal skills and ability to work within a multicultural team;
- A strong interest in cycling and the cycling industry;
- Experience engaging with media and managing the organization of events.
The Communications Officer will:
- Create engaging and compelling content to amplify key policy messages for various communication channels such as visuals, videos and infographics;
- Maintain and update CONEBI's website;
- Manage CONEBI' social media (mainly LinkedIn);
- Develop and implement strategies to enhance the online presence and visibility of CONEBI;
- Work with the CONEBI General Manager and team to promote and execute CONEBI events;
- Assist with handling press queries and wider media engagement;
- Research and draft compelling content for external engagements and speeches by the CONEBI General Manager and wider team including presentation slides, speaking points and briefings;
- Draft and distribute internal communications to members such as monthly newsletters;
- Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in digital communications, and propose innovative ideas to improve our digital presence.
