Description du poste
In preparation for upcoming construction projects, BESIX seeks experienced Project Directors to join their teams in Europe & Africa. The ideal candidates will have substantial experience as Project Directors on large-scale projects above €150 million and are eager to establish a long-term career in a leading and innovative company.
The Project Director role involves overseeing project construction, ensuring safety, quality, and timeliness, managing budgets, and collaborating with the General Management and Business Development teams to identify new opportunities.
Duties and responsibilities:
- Supervise, coordinate, and ensure the successful completion of projects;
- Negotiate with contractors, suppliers, and subcontractors;
- Manage contracts and project finances;
- Engage in public relations and business development;
- Implement project budgets and allocate resources;
- Drive business relationships and opportunities;
- Oversee employee training and development.
Your competencies:
- In-depth knowledge of construction management;
- Strong leadership and team management skills;
- Advanced understanding of contract management;
- Expertise in technical domains and site organization;
- Problem-solving and communication skills;
- Proficient in negotiation;
- Results-driven and commercially adept.
Qualifications
- Academic degree in Engineering (construction or architecture);
- Minimum 15 years of relevant experience in managing large construction projects;
- Experience in claim handling and contract management;
- Fluency in English and additional European language is a plus.
Preference for candidates willing to work internationally.
