Revenue Analyst

Job Overview:

The German Marshall Fund of the United States (GMF) is in need of a meticulous Revenue Analyst who will serve a vital role in ensuring the financial well-being of the company.

As a Revenue Analyst, your responsibilities will involve analyzing revenue sources, spotting trends, and offering insights to enhance revenue generation.

The Analyst will be accountable to the Managing Director, Development and the Chief Operating Officer.

Key Responsibilities (in priority order):

Revenue Analysis:

• Perform thorough analysis of revenue data to identify trends, anomalies, and opportunities for enhancement.
• Keep track of key performance indicators (KPIs) associated with revenue generation and monitor performance against set targets.
• Employ financial modeling methods to predict revenue trends and evaluate the potential effects of business decisions.

Financial Reporting:

• Compile regular reports and presentations on revenue performance for management and stakeholders.
• Ensure the accuracy and completeness of financial data concerning revenue streams.
• Offer insights into revenue determinants and discrepancies from the budget or forecasts.

Data Analysis and Insights:

• Leverage data analytics tools and techniques to derive actionable insights from revenue data.
• Present discoveries and suggestions to the management to aid strategic decision-making.
• Keep updated on industry trends and standards to compare our revenue performance and pinpoint areas for advancement.

Required Skills and Knowledge:

• Demonstrated expertise in financial analysis, preferably in a role concentrating on revenue.
• Proficiency in data analysis tools like Excel or SQL.
• Exceptional analytical and problemsolving abilities, paying attention to detail.
• Capability to clearly communicate complex concepts to both technical and nontechnical audiences.
• Background in operating within a fast-paced, constantly changing environment with strict deadlines.
• Familiarity with revenue recognition principles and financial reporting norms.
• Ability to work both autonomously and cooperatively within a team setting.

Education:

• Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, economics, or a related field. Holding an advanced degree or professional certification (such as CPA) is advantageous.

This role is for a fixed-term contract lasting six months from July - Dec 31, 2024.
