IT Quality Assurance Coordinator

Within Elia Group's division for Digitalization, IT & Innovation (Division D), we have recently implemented a product organization as new operating model to complement our classical project-oriented way of working. Division D offers a series of chapters specialized according to expertise areas in which the primary goal is to offer highly qualified resources towards the different projects and products. One of these chapters is the Quality Assurance Chapter gathering profiles such as QA Engineers, Automation Test Engineers, QA Analysts, Performance Test Engineers ensuring the establishment and adherence to best practices in quality assurance across the organization. Services offered encompass test planning & design, test execution & reporting, test automation.
We are looking for an experienced IT Quality Assurance Coordinator who will coordinate, hire, develop, and guide a team of external consultants to capitalize the know-how, rationalize the best practices and ensure the implementation of robust testing processes.
Your role:
- Define a coherent vision, strategy, and budget for the chapter in accordance with Elia Group's strategic goals, in-line with other Chapter Leads.
- Define QA standards, testing strategies, frameworks, and methodologies,
- Oversee the test planning and execution processes, analyse test results, identify areas for improvement, and contribute to the overall development lifecycle to meet quality standards,
- Ensure that best practices, tools, and methodologies are shared and standardized across the chapter by facilitating knowledge sharing, learning, and continuous improvement across a broad range of expertise areas.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders within the product organization, including product or project teams, senior managers, and external partners to identify strategic priorities,
- Drive the change initiatives impacting the chapter's functional areas,
- Gather, track and report on the value proposition KPIs of the Chapter,

- You have a min. of 5 years of proven practices in quality assurance, quality control, testing and budget planification.
- 3+ years of relevant experiences in coordination of QA professionals with strong leadership and demonstrated success of team build, including P&L responsibility.
- You have a min. of 3 years of working with teams using agile methodologies,
- Holding advanced certifications in ISTQB or equivalent is a definite plus,
- Your technical curiosity combined with your pragmatic and constructive mindset facilitate adoption of QA practices.
- You are fluent in English. Dutch, French or German knowledge is a plus,
- Ability to strategize and implement initiatives aimed at improving team performance and reducing dependency.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Excellent stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work independently and in teams in an international environment.
- Having knowledge and experience in the energy and/or utility sector is a nice-to-have.
