We are searching for a Master Data Specialist to join our Internal Manufacturing team located in Braine-l'Alleud, Belgium.

About the position:

The role is situated at the UCB laboratories and offices on the Braine-l'Alleud campus.

As The Master Data Specialist, you have a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy, consistency, and integrity of the organization's vital data across different systems and Manufacturing.

Your responsibilities include managing and preserving the fundamental information required for operations and decision-making.

By supervising the input, updates, and quality assurance of this data, you support the Planning, Scheduling & Procurement teams within BTO Supply Chain Department in carrying out their tasks efficiently and effectively.

You aid in ensuring smooth operations, precise reporting, and dependable analytics, making your role an indispensable part of the team that upholds the organization's data infrastructure.

What you will be doing:

As a Master Data Specialist, your tasks will involve:

  • Maintaining and verifying the accuracy of master data across diverse systems such as SAP, SAP4HANA, OMP, and ANAPLAN
  • Implementing and overseeing data governance policies and procedures to assure data integrity and compliance with internal and external guidelines
  • Working with IT to create and enhance data models that enhance data analytics and reporting capabilities
  • Collaborating with business units to compile and sustain precise manufacturing data during the lifecycle of our products
  • Conducting routine data quality examinations and audits to recognize and rectify discrepancies or inconsistencies in the master data
  • Supporting the entry of new master data records, making sure all required information is gathered and accurately entered into the system
  • Developing and delivering training to end-users on master data management processes and best practices to ensure correct data input and maintenance
  • Leading cross-functional initiatives to unify, cleanse, and optimize master data across the organization
  • Designing and implementing tailored reports and dashboards for stakeholders to oversee the health and status of master data

For this role, you should have the following education, experience, and skills:

  • A Master's degree or a Bachelor's degree with comparable experience
  • At least 5 years of experience in Supply Chain with demonstrated experience in Planning activities, Experience in SAP & OMP+, or the ability to adapt to existing ERP systems
  • An operational background in the pharmaceutical sector is advantageous
  • An analytical mindset, focused on KPIs and achieving results
  • Demonstrated capabilities in Planning Master Data Management
  • Aptitude for rapid learning in a complex setting
  • An awareness of the cost control aspect of the role
  • A meticulous individual capable of shifting from a high-level view to a detailed perspective
  • The ability to influence individuals at all levels of the organization
  • The capability to challenge concepts and deliver constructive feedback
  • A strong team-oriented approach
