HSE Manager

Job description
Holcim is seeking a dynamic and experienced HSE-MS (Health, Safety, and Environment
Management System) Manager to lead the GO4ZERO project at the Obourg site. GO4ZERO is an
ambitious initiative aimed at decarbonizing cement production and achieving net-zero emissions by
2029.
Key Responsibilities
• Document Management: Collaborate with the administrative assistant to draft procedures,
forms, and references applicable to the project sites. Maintain and manage the document
control system to ensure compliance and easy access to all necessary documentation.
• Onboarding: Organize the onboarding process for new employees joining the GO4ZERO
team, ensuring they receive comprehensive orientation and training on health, safety, and
environmental standards.
• Subcontractor Management: Facilitate the induction process for subcontractor personnel,
validate their competencies through knowledge tests and presentations, and ensure they
meet the project's safety standards.
• Safety School Administration: Oversee the organization of the safety school, including the
preparation of the facility, the management of its contents, and the scheduling of training
sessions.
• Training Coordination: Organize and verify the content of both theoretical and practical
training programs, ensuring they are up-to-date and relevant to current safety standards
and project requirements.
• Field Audits: Conduct regular field audits to monitor compliance with health, safety, and
environmental regulations, and provide actionable insights for continuous improvement.
• Expert Support: Provide expertise and support to the site supervision teams in specialized
areas such as lifting operations, working at heights, and confined spaces, ensuring the
implementation of best practices.
Qualifications
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Health, Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field.
• Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in HSE management, preferably in industrial
or construction settings.
• Skills: Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, excellent communication abilities, and
proficiency in HSE management systems.
• Certifications: Relevant HSE certifications are highly desirable.About Holcim
