As a Technical Sales Manager, you will be identifying and generating new business opportunities in line with sustainability trends. Resulting from the European green deal and related regulations, you will generate new business opportunities within the fast-changing business environment for which sustainable, recyclable high barrier food packages are required. You will manage projects, provide technical support, propose (new) solutions and products, search new applications and develop the market in close collaboration with our Technical Service and Market Development departments.

Within this role, you will be responsible for developing and implementing (new) EVALTM EVOH resins-based solutions - substituting less or even non-recyclable packaging films that are less sustainable.

You will drive business growth by providing technical expertise, managing key customer relationships, and identifying new market opportunities.

Your role as a Technical Sales Manager

In this newly created position, you will build strong partnerships with customers and industry stakeholders while supporting the technical development and sales of EVOH resins.

Your responsibilities include:

  • Developing and managing relationships with key customers across Europe, providing technical and commercial support for EVALTM EVOH applications.
  • Identifying and generating new business opportunities in line with sustainability trends and European packaging regulations (e.g., recyclability and high-barrier requirements).
  • Advising customers on EVOH resin integration into their packaging applications, providing technical expertise on material performance and processing.
  • Collaborating with our Technical Service and Market Development teams to provide solutions for complex customer challenges.
  • Managing projects, technical trials, and product implementations to ensure successful customer adoption.
  • Conducting sales forecasts, commercial agreements, and market analyses to align with business objectives.
  • Representing Eval Europe at industry conferences, trade fairs, and networking events to expand business opportunities.
  • Providing training and technical presentations to customers and internal teams on the benefits of EVALTM EVOH resins.

You will be based in our offices in Melsele, close to our manufacturing facility in Zwijndrecht (Antwerp), Belgium. This position does not have direct reports. You will report to the Head of Sales and Marketing at Eval Europe.

What we are looking for

We are seeking a motivated and technically skilled professional with a strong commercial mindset. Do you enjoy working at the intersection of material science, packaging technology, and business development? Then this is your opportunity to make an impact

  • Experience of selling barrier polymers, resins, masterbatch, barrier packaging and/or barrier solutions is a must.
  • A degree in Engineering, Chemistry, or a related technical field.
  • Experience in a technical sales or business development role in a B2B environment.
  • The ability to translate technical insights into commercial success, advising customers on material selection and application development.
  • A strategic, independent, and solution-oriented thinker who thrives in a complex, international business environment.
  • Willingness to travel extensively (maximum 50%) across Europe to engage with customers and industry stakeholders.
  • Fluency in English is essential; any other language is a strong advantage.
  • A natural networker and team player, with excellent communication and analytical skills to understand and anticipate customer needs.
  • Technical know-how and expertise to go from business potential to commercial business success.
