We seek a highly skilled Senior Cloud Engineer to join our dynamic team. This role is pivotal in guiding our organization in setting up a SaaS platform for our Enterprise Imaging application.

Location: Mortsel or Ghent, Belgium

Key responsibilities
  • Design, develop, and maintain cloud-based applications primarily on AWS
  • Effectively document and communicate design decisions
  • Lead the implementation of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using TerraForm
  • Architect and deploy scalable, secure, and reliable cloud infrastructure using a combination of traditional EC2 instances and EKS
  • Working within a Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features
  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior developers
  • Ensure best practices in cloud security, cost management, and performance optimization
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues in the cloud environment
  • Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies to drive innovation
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
  • Extensive experience with AWS services (e.g., EC2, S3, RDS, EKS, Lambda, etc.)
  • Proven expertise in TerraForm and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices
  • Competence with SW Version Control systems and processes
  • Experience with automated deployment methods (CI/CD)
  • Strong understanding of cloud architecture and SaaS models
  • Experience with enterprise imaging applications is a plus
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
