An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Industrialization Manager to join a growing European space technology organisation developing advanced systems for demanding commercial and institutional space missions.
This is a key role responsible for establishing and improving industrialisation processes as products move from engineering development into repeatable production. You will work across Engineering, Project Management and Production to ensure designs can be manufactured efficiently, consistently and to the required quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and manage industrialisation gates, including entry and exit criteria and supporting evidence.
- Define and deliver industrialisation requirements across products and programmes.
- Create work instructions, manufacturing routings, tooling lists and control plans.
- Develop and maintain manufacturing layouts and production workflow definitions.
- Act as the link between Engineering, Project Management and Production to ensure design intent is maintained through manufacturing.
- Develop repeatable industrialisation processes and tools that can be applied across future programmes.
- Identify and manage industrialisation risks early, ensuring appropriate consideration within programme schedules and budgets.
- Provide day-to-day support to production, including non-conformances, rework, process troubleshooting and first article activities.
- Structure and manage technical manufacturing data, including eBOM to mBOM processes and engineering change control.
- Support the selection and implementation of appropriate PLM systems and processes.
About You
You will have significant experience in industrialisation, manufacturing engineering or production engineering, ideally within the space, aerospace, defence or another highly regulated engineering environment.
You should have a strong understanding of taking products from engineering development into repeatable production, with experience across manufacturing processes, configuration management, BOM structures and change control. Strong communication skills are essential, as you will work closely with engineering, programme and production teams across the organisation.
