For one of our clients, one of Europe’s fastest-growing high-tech manufacturing groups, we are looking for a Systems / NPI Engineer – Product Transfer & Industrialization to support the transition of advanced infrared camera systems from R&D into manufacturing.

In this role, you will take technical ownership of products as they move from validated prototypes toward stable and repeatable production. You will work closely with R&D, Testing, Quality and Manufacturing to determine whether a product is truly ready for release, identify remaining technical gaps and support the first production builds.

This is not a purely coordinating or project-management position. We are looking for an engineer who can understand a multidisciplinary product at system level, investigate technical failures and work with specialists across electronics, software, optics and mechanics to bring the product successfully into production.

Your Responsibilities

  • Own the technical transfer of new products and product changes from R&D into manufacturing
  • Define and monitor product-release and manufacturing-readiness criteria together with R&D, Testing, Quality and Manufacturing
  • Ensure that all required technical documentation is complete, consistent and suitable for production
  • Review product requirements, bills of materials, drawings, test specifications, acceptance criteria, assembly instructions and release documentation
  • Coordinate and actively support pilot and first-production builds
  • Develop a broad understanding of the complete camera system, including electronics, firmware/software, optics, mechanics, interfaces and thermal behaviour
  • Investigate system-level failures and manufacturing issues through structured testing, measurements and root-cause analysis
  • Act as the technical bridge between R&D in Leuven and Manufacturing in Tienen

Your Profile

  • Master’s degree or equivalent qualification in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Mechatronics, Applied Physics, Embedded Systems or a comparable technical field
  • At least four years of professional experience in systems engineering, product engineering, system integration, verification and validation, NPI, industrialization or product transfer
  • Demonstrated practical experience supporting a product from development or prototype stage into pilot or serial production (Transfer to Production)
  • Experience working with technically complex products combining hardware with software or firmware
  • Strong system-level understanding combined with sufficient technical depth to investigate failures and challenge technical decisions
  • Fluent English and strong communication skills

Particularly Relevant Experience

Experience in one or more of the following areas would be highly valuable:

  • (Infrared) Cameras, imaging systems, photonics or optical equipment
  • Sensors, detectors or measurement systems
  • Medical devices, aerospace, semiconductor equipment, robotics, scientific instruments or other complex high-tech products
  • Electronics and PCB-based systems

Why Join?

  • Work on advanced infrared camera systems at the intersection of electronics, optics, mechanics, embedded software and image processing
  • Join a leading European high-tech company and one of Europe's fastest growing manufacturing companies that is operating at the forefront of infrared imaging technology
  • Take real technical ownership of products as they move from R&D prototypes into manufacturing and customer applications

Please note that due to the high volume of applications, we are unable to provide personalized feedback on every application. Nevertheless, you can be assured that your application will be reviewed by a human. If there is a potential match, we will reach out to you.
