At Client side, you will have the opportunity to contribute to strategic projects and play a key role in the functional and technical evolution of our drone solutions. As part of this mission, you will join the I-ICT.112 Cameras, Drones & Security Solutions office and work within the Drone Competence Center on critical projects for the continuity and performance of drone-based activities (VLOS and BVLOS). These projects involve consolidating and distributing drone-related information, requiring the implementation of a robust, resilient, and redundant ICT architecture for integration with an existing Milestone video platform.

Internal Responsibilities:

  • Execution of SORA and other risk analyses in the context of large-scale drone usage.
  • Defining requirements for executing BVLOS flights for track surveying, mapping, photogrammetry, art structure/infrastructure inspections, and GSM-R tower inspections within Infrabel.
  • Technology watch (analyzing and implementing technical On-Premise solutions).
  • Drone project preparation (study + offer + commissioning with all relevant departments: clients, local ICT, monitoring tool verification, and as-built documentation).
  • Integration of existing DIAB technical alarms into existing ICT.3 Operations systems.
  • Work on new projects, site enhancements, as well as corrective and evolutionary maintenance of existing security products.

Main Responsibilities:

Complete Security Audit for Drone Use:

  • Risk analysis per project.
  • Estimating required effort (Build and Run) for each drone project/solution.
  • Developing automated test scripts to ensure client-required performance levels.
  • Organizing and structuring contributions from each stakeholder (suppliers, various ICT departments including power supply, wired/4G/5G connectivity, cybersecurity, and operations/maintenance testing procedures).
  • Integrating test execution into a checklist, summarizing results in a report saved in SAP.
  • Supporting colleagues in using drone product monitoring tools.
  • Creating customized test scenarios tailored to specific site needs.
  • Documenting chosen technical solutions.
  • Actively participating in drone pilot training.

Ensuring Solution Quality:

  • Delivering tailored test reports for various use cases (tracking, mapping, photogrammetry, infrastructure inspection, etc.).
  • Executing manual test scenarios when automated scripts are unavailable.
  • Accurately documenting detected anomalies and regressions.

Soft Skills:

  • Good knowledge of the drone ecosystem (DGTA, Skeyes).
  • Analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Initiative and autonomy in drafting SORA documentation.
  • Adaptability to regulatory changes in the drone sector.
  • Clear and effective communication.
  • Team spirit and rapid integration.

Technical Skills:

  • Drone Piloting Experience (VLOS, BVLOS, STS certificate): L3 (Min. 5 years).
  • Drone Pilot Instructor Experience: L3 (Min. 5 years).
  • Integrating Drone Video Feeds into Milestone: L3 (Min. 5 years).
  • Testing / Integration Layer (Monitoring Tools): L2 (Min. 2 years).
  • Networking Experience: L2 (Min. 2 years).
  • Drone Regulatory Framework Experience: L2 (Min. 2 years).
  • Integrating Drone Products into Drone Platforms: L2 (Min. 2 years).
  • Drafting Tender Specifications (Public Procurement Procedures): L2 (Min. 2 years).
  • Supplier Negotiation Experience: L2 (Min. 2 years).
  • Languages: French & Dutch (C1: Complex Mastery); English (B2: Upper-Intermediate).
