We're looking for a senior DevOps engineer to maintain cloud infrastructure for large-scale image processing and data analytics. You'll support operational and research workloads built on Kubernetes and Linux.
What you'll do
- Maintain operational infrastructure alongside architects and engineers.
- Resolve infrastructure tickets using configuration and infrastructure as code.
- Deploy new software components in public cloud environments.
- Diagnose complex issues using monitoring tools, logging and metrics.
- Implement security best practices across the infrastructure.
- Take ownership of components in the software stack.
What you bring
- Five years of experience with cloud applications (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
- Experience in Agile and/or DevOps environments.
- Kubernetes experience and the ability to write Helm charts.
- Experience with Linux-native environments (CentOS, RedHat, Alma Linux).
- Experience with ICT infrastructure solutions.
- Knowledge of cloud cybersecurity best practices.
- Knowledge of Terraform, ArgoCD and Jenkins.
- A master's degree in applied IT, Industrial Sciences, IT or equivalent.
- Strong analytical skills, clear communication and self-organisation.
- Dutch, C2.
- English, C1.
Nice to have
- Virtualisation experience with AWS, Azure, Docker, VMware or OpenStack.
- Experience with migrations.
- CI/CD tooling and configuration and automation frameworks, including Packer.
- Distributed processing experience with Apache Spark or Dask.
- Python and Golang experience.
