Event Marketing Manager
As an Event Marketing Manager at Materialise, you own the end to end strategy, marketing tactics, planning, coordination, and execution of our global, strategic and HQ events. You combine strategic marketing thinking with operational precision, turning every approved event into an integrated marketing moment that is on brand, measurable, and built to drive real business impact. Responsibilities
Event strategy and planning
- Contribute input on feasibility, format, and strategic fit prior to event approval, ensuring decisions are grounded in operational reality and marketing potential.
- Take full ownership of approved global and HQ events from confirmation to completion, ensuring strategic, creative, and operational alignment throughout.
- Define clear event objectives, target audiences, and success criteria in line with Business Unit OKRs and the broader Marketing Strategy.
- Define the event marketing strategy and tactical approach for each approved event, including channel mix, audience targeting, pre-event campaign plan, on-site activation, and post-event follow-up.
- Treat every event as an integrated marketing moment rather than a standalone activation, ensuring it connects to and reinforces the broader campaign narrative.
- Develop the full event plan and timeline, including booth concept, required deliverables, and supporting marketing activities.
Stakeholder and cross-functional collaboration
- Collaborate closely with Marketing Managers to ensure event objectives and messaging align with Business Unit campaign strategies.
- Work with discipline experts across creative, digital, content, automation, and data to deliver all required event assets, digital campaigns, and materials.
- Partner with Sales and Business Development to align on lead handling, customer meeting planning, and shared event goals.
- Collaborate with the Sales Enablement and Data Expert to define lead capture methods, handover processes, and attribution logic for each event.
- Manage vendor contracts and logistics in collaboration with Procurement, Facilities, and external partners.
- Prepare internal communication materials including event briefs, talking points, and logistics guides for teams attending the event.
Logistics and on-site execution
- Act as the main point of contact during both event preparation and on-site execution.
- Oversee booth setup, logistics, and partner coordination to ensure flawless delivery.
- Coordinate live event coverage including photography, video, and social media updates with Marketing Specialists.
- Resolve on-site issues quickly and decisively to guarantee a smooth experience for attendees and internal stakeholders alike.
Lead generation and pipeline contribution
- Define and implement lead capture strategies for each event, ensuring high quality data collection and a seamless handover to Sales.
- Work with the Sales Enablement and Data Expert to align on lead flow, scoring, and follow-up triggers for event-generated contacts.
- Ensure event-generated leads are correctly integrated into the CRM and contribute visibly to pipeline reporting and attribution.
- Continuously optimize lead capture approaches based on event performance data and Sales feedback.
Post-event evaluation and continuous improvement
- Conduct post-event evaluations measuring success against defined objectives, including attendance, leads generated, engagement, and ROI.
- Document learnings and update best practices in the Event Playbook to raise the bar for future events.
- Maintain and develop partner and venue contacts, actively exploring new opportunities that could strengthen the event portfolio.
- Stay current on event marketing innovations, emerging formats, and industry trends, assessing their potential value for Materialise events.

- 5+ years of experience in event marketing or a similar role, with a proven track record of managing large-scale or international events end to end.
