AISB-1064 Full-Stack Developer

ABAKUS IT SOLUTIONS is looking for a Confirmed Full-Stack Developer to join a strategic IT modernisation programme in Brussels. You will contribute to the migration of critical data from legacy mainframe systems to a modern, open architecture, making information more accessible to business applications, data analytics and AI-driven solutions.

Working within a multidisciplinary team, you will help design and develop reliable, secure and interoperable applications and services in an agile environment that embraces innovation, DevOps and continuous integration.

Your Missions

• Contribute to the migration of legacy data systems towards a modern, open and scalable architecture.
• Develop and improve data exchange services to ensure seamless integration between different applications and systems.
• Enhance existing strategic applications by implementing new features and improving their performance, reliability and maintainability.
• Support the integration of data analytics, Artificial Intelligence (AI) and intelligence-driven capabilities into existing solutions.
• Participate in technical analysis, software architecture decisions and the implementation of appropriate design patterns and principles.
• Implement secure authentication and authorisation mechanisms using OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect and JWT.
• Apply security-by-design principles throughout the software development lifecycle.
• Contribute to containerisation, DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines and version control using GitLab.
• Work with SQL and NoSQL databases, including PostgreSQL, to manage and exchange data efficiently.
• Collaborate with developers and other stakeholders to ensure code quality, performance and interoperability.
• Contribute to automated testing and continuous improvement of development practices.

Your Qualifications

• Confirmed experience designing, developing and integrating REST APIs and web services.
• Good understanding of software architecture, design principles and design patterns.
• Experience implementing authentication and authorisation solutions using OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect and JWT-based tokens.
• Knowledge of containerisation technologies and modern DevOps practices, including GitLab and CI/CD.
• Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases, particularly PostgreSQL.
• Understanding of application security and Security by Design principles.
• Familiarity with automated testing and software quality assurance.
• Ability to analyse technical problems, work independently and propose effective solutions.
• A rigorous, detail-oriented and quality-driven mindset, with a proactive approach to learning and continuous improvement.
• Language skills: Native or equivalent proficiency in French or Dutch, with passive knowledge of the other language. Active knowledge of English is also required.
• Availability to work in a hybrid setup in Brussels, with at least two days per week on-site.
