Within Corporate Tax, we are looking for a Senior Consultant to join our Global Compliance & Reporting team in the Diegem office. Similar vacancies are available in our Antwerp, Ghent, Hasselt and Liège offices.

Our Global Compliance & Reporting team assists both international and Belgian companies with e.g. direct tax compliance and reporting obligations, Belgian ad hoc tax advisory, tax controversy, tax accounting reporting, tax risk management, tax on site assistance and tax function assessments. Closely collaborating with financial and accounting experts, Global Compliance & Reporting dives into the financial data of our clients to translate it into tax solutions. By closely teaming with our other tax and law specialists, our aim is to be the trusted business advisor for our clients.

In this role, you will help guide our clients through the complexities of Belgian tax legislation and contribute to shaping the future of corporate tax services.

Your Key Responsibilities

As a Senior Consultant in the Global Compliance & Reporting department, you will support the team in their day to day activities and assist with preparatory work and client interactions. In your senior role, you will take ownership of the expected deliverables within your client portfolio, working with the support of more experienced colleagues. You will also help develop junior team members by sharing your expertise and guiding them through the business.

  • Lead Financial Reporting Processes: Execute and oversee the financial reporting processes for our clients, with a focus on the financial data that impacts their tax positions. Ensure accuracy and compliance with all relevant regulations.
  • Tax Compliance Oversight: Ensure our clients meet all Belgian tax compliance obligations and provide expert guidance on day-to-day Belgian tax compliance services, including representation during tax audits. Spearhead the implementation of Pillar II and other international tax legislation into our Belgian compliance processes.
  • Process Improvement Initiatives: Identify, design, and implement process improvements in our clients’ tax compliance processes, driving efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Client Portfolio Management: Pro-actively manage and communicate with the team regarding your assigned client portfolio, fostering strong relationships and ensuring client satisfaction.
  • Continuous Learning and Development: Stay abreast of the latest changes in Belgian tax legislation and industry trends and share knowledge with team members to enhance overall team expertise.
  • Technology Adoption: Lead the adoption of fast-changing technologies and digital transformations within the compliance processes, ensuring our clients benefit from innovative solutions.
  • Proposal and Presentation Development: Assist in the preparation of client proposals, internal and external presentations, and lead client meetings, showcasing our expertise and solutions.
  • Lead initiatives to stay ahead of market changes and deepen your expertise across your client portfolio.
  • Work effectively as a member of a worldwide network of professional advisors, sharing responsibility, providing support, maintaining communication and updating senior team members on progress.

Your Profile

You have/are:

  • A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a financial, economic or law orientation (with a focus on Taxation).
  • At least 3 years of professional experience in Corporate Income Taxation , either in industry or with other service providers. You have developed a passion for figures.
  • Proven ability to manage complex projects and deliver high-quality results in a timely manner.
  • Excellent communication skills in Dutch and/or French, with fluency in English.
  • A collaborative team player with a critical, innovative, and curious mindset.
