Purpose of the Function

The DT Strategic Partnerships Lead will identify, evaluate, and cultivate high‑impact external partners that align with our Digital Technology strategic objectives. The role defines and implements engagement models that drive co‑creation and deliver sustained, mutual value, accelerating innovation across Digital Technology and the broader organization.

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive strategy for identifying and scouting high‑impact external partners through market outreach and existing organization relationships.
  • Design and formalize structured engagement models and compelling value propositions to ensure mutually beneficial partnerships.
  • Act as the primary bridge between external innovators and internal Digital Technology teams, integrating partner capabilities with strategic goals.
  • Oversee the full lifecycle of strategic alliances, monitoring health, performance, and value realization for long‑term success.
  • Collaborate with domain leaders to understand strategic challenges and proactively identify external technologies or partners that accelerate impact.
  • Establish and manage a governance framework for partner evaluation, selection, and performance management.
  • Provide insights and recommendations on the external innovation landscape to senior leadership.
  • Champion the value of strategic partnerships across the organization, communicating successes and fostering a culture of external collaboration.

Skills & Competencies

  • Strategic relationship management with demonstrated ability to build mutually beneficial partnerships.
  • Ability to translate complex business needs into clear, actionable partnership strategies and engagement models.
  • Knowledge of market landscaping and partner scouting techniques for evaluating potential innovation partners.
  • Negotiation and structuring of complex partnership agreements and contracts.
  • Effective collaboration within cross‑functional teams and networks.
  • Excellent communication skills in a multicultural, multi‑lingual global environment.

Education & Experience

Qualifications: Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree preferred in Life Sciences, Pharmacy, Biotechnology, Chemistry, Computer Science, Business, or related fields.

Experience: 8+ years in strategic alliance or partnership management within a technology or life sciences environment, including 5+ years of cross‑functional leadership, strategic planning, and senior stakeholder engagement.

Additional Information

35% travel required. The role is eligible for participation in short‑term and long‑term incentive programs.
