The Global Graduate Programme – A Fast‑Track to Leadership

The Sibelco Global Graduate Programme is designed to accelerate the careers of promising individuals. It is a two‑year rotational programme consisting of two one‑year assignments in key operational and commercial roles. The programme provides hands‑on experience with real business projects, ensuring early responsibility and exposure to strategic decision‑making. Participants are offered a permanent contract from the start, ensuring long‑term career prospects within Sibelco.

A Graduate in Strategic Marketing (Dessel – first year)

In the first year graduates will support the VCP programme in Dessel, identifying new market opportunities for existing glass and construction sand products. The second year will be spent in a different cluster outside the initial region, providing international/regional experience.

Your Impact in This Role

This assignment focuses on supporting the VCP programme within the Dessel cluster by strengthening strategic marketing activities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct market research and competitive analysis to assess market potential and positioning.
  • Identify and evaluate new target markets for existing glass and construction sand products.
  • Define and refine value propositions for target markets without changing the core applications.
  • Collaborate with sales and technical sales to align market strategy with business objectives.
  • Prepare strategic recommendations, presentations, and reports to support decision‑making.
  • Support go‑to‑market strategy development for new customer or geographic markets.

What You Bring To The Table

  • A degree in business, engineering, or a related commercial field.
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
  • Leadership, communication, and project management skills.
  • A keen interest in market development, sales, and business strategy.
  • Good ability to conduct desktop research and work with Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Openness to spending the second year of the programme in a different cluster for international/regional experience.
