I’m working with a growing gaming company that’s looking for its first dedicated security lead. They have real customers, live systems and a team that’s keen to get security right. What they need is someone who can roll up their sleeves, fix the problem and then help the whole company work more safely.
Responsibilities
- Own the security of the product and its production environment
- Find and fix weaknesses in web apps and APIs, from logins and permissions to business logic
- Review code, write fixes and build the tooling yourself
- Keep the cloud setup, access, secrets and pipelines secure
- Explain risk to management in plain terms, and get changes adopted
- Introduce security practices that people will actually follow
Your Profile
- Solid hands-on experience in application security, product security or security engineering, including responsibility for live systems
- Strong programming skills and confidence in unfamiliar codebases
- A good grasp of cloud, networking and CI/CD security
- Sound judgement on what matters most, and the ability to explain why
- Clear English and a collaborative style with developers and leadership
