The Grid department manages the transmission network of Fluxys Belgium. The department’s objectives are to ensure, at all times, the supply of natural gas to end users and to guarantee the safety of installations, the environment, and employees. This includes, in particular, the inspection, operation, and maintenance of the pipeline network and related installations, such as valve nodes and pressure reduction stations.
From an organizational perspective, the Grid department is geographically divided into five zones, supported by a central entity that provides both technical and administrative assistance.
For our operations site in Bruges, we are looking for a Maintenance Coordinator Stations (m/f/x).
Job purpose
You play an essential role in ensuring the proper functioning and safety of our infrastructure. Your main task is to plan, organize, and supervise maintenance activities. This includes coordinating technicians, managing suppliers and subcontractors, and monitoring budgets and deadlines.
Your goal is to guarantee the reliability and sustainability of the network. After a training period, you will prepare corrective and preventive maintenance tasks.
Your responsibilities

- You are responsible for carrying out the necessary administrative and technical preparatory tasks, including work permits, hot work permits, regulations, and inspections
- In collaboration with the team leader and colleagues, you prepare the daily schedule for the technicians, proactively and flexibly respond to changes, and ensure the coordination and meticulous follow-up of field maintenance activities
- You are responsible for ensuring the proper execution and coordination of on‑site interventions, taking into account established safety measures, and ensuring the correct application of procedures that guarantee the safety of our installations and employees
- You manage spare parts and materials for the stations/pipelines in our zone and ensure that stock levels are always accurate, orders are placed on time, and that equipment and vehicles are technically in good condition
- You receive goods, check deliveries, and prepare them for first use, in collaboration with the administration department
- You actively participate in the analysis and resolution of technical problems together with your colleagues.
- You prepare small projects related to stations/pipelines in collaboration with the Zone Manager/Team Leader/Work Planner
- You are responsible for coordinating and following up with field technicians
- You ensure the proper execution and coordination of field interventions, taking into account established safety measures, and you also ensure the correct application of procedures that guarantee the safety of our installations and employees
- You report to the Zone Manager
About you
- You hold a graduate or bachelor’s degree in a technical field, or you have equivalent experience
- You have minimal 5-10 years relevant experience in a technical role within an industrial environment
- You have a precise approach and a willingness to learn, as well as a dynamic mindset and a sense of diplomacy
- You are able to process large amounts of information in a short time and translate this into an action plan
- You possess strong communication skills and the ability to work both in a team and independently
- A good knowledge of Dutch is required; a basic knowledge of French and English is an asset
- You are very proficient in using the MS Office package and SAP
In addition, this position requires:
- Willingness to be on call (standby duty)
- Residence within a 30-minute radius of our site in Bruges
- A category B driving licence and your own vehicle
