Job Description
- Manage import and customs clearance processes from A to Z
- Prepare, review and process customs documentation in compliance with local and international regulations
- Ensure accurate tariff classification, customs declarations, and duty calculations
- Coordinate with customs authorities, freight forwarders, carriers, and internal stakeholders
- Monitor shipments and proactively resolve customs or transportation issues
- Ensure compliance with import/export regulations, trade compliance requirements, and company policies
- Maintain accurate records and customs documentation
- Support customs audits and provide required reports and documentation
- Identify opportunities to improve customs and import processes
- Keep up to date with changes in customs legislation and international trade regulations
The Successful Applicant
- 2+ years of experience in import operations, customs clearance, or international logistics
- Strong knowledge of customs procedures, import regulations, Incoterms, and trade compliance
- Experience working with customs brokers, freight forwarders, and government authorities
- Familiar with customs systems, ERP platforms (SAP is a plus), and Excel
- Strong attention to detail and administrative accuracy
- Able to prioritize, solve problems, and work in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication skills and a customer-oriented mindset
- Proactive, organized, and able to work independently
