As an experienced Business Development Manager, you are familiar with the Life Sciences & Healthcare sector. You know how to convince challenging customers to choose the supply chain solutions of DHL Supply Chain.

Depending on whether you reside in the Netherlands or Belgium, you will receive either a Dutch or Belgian employment contract, with the corresponding local employment conditions.

The following package applies to employees residing in Belgium:

  • An attractive gross monthly starting salary between €5,366 and €7,155, depending on your experience and expertise, with growth potential within the position up to a maximum of €8,944 gross per month
  • A monthly net expense allowance of €150
  • A target bonus of 11.25% of the annual gross salary

  • An attractive gross monthly starting salary between €5,366 and €7,155, depending on your experience and expertise, with growth potential within the position up to a maximum of €8,944 gross per month

What You Will Do

As a Business Development Manager (BDM), you build strong relationships with target accounts within Life Sciences & Healthcare and actively develop new business across the Benelux. You identify customers’ supply chain challenges and strategic needs and, together with our internal experts, translate these into distinctive logistics solutions.

More specifically, you will:

  • identify new business opportunities and build a strong sales pipeline;
  • develop relationships with decision‑makers and influencers;
  • translate customer needs into commercial and supply chain solutions;
  • prepare and present commercial proposals and customer‑focused account plans;
  • lead tender processes from A to Z, including solution development, stakeholder management, commercial positioning and contract negotiations;
  • coordinate internal teams, including Operations, Transport, Warehousing, Solutions Design and IT;
  • monitor the full commercial process and progress, both internally and towards the customer;
  • identify growth opportunities with existing and new customers;
  • build sustainable customer relationships in line with our Customer for Life philosophy;
  • follow market developments, technologies and trends within Life Sciences & Healthcare;
  • act as a senior sparring partner towards Business Unit and DHL Supply Chain Leadership Teams;
  • take ownership of the commercial process and contribute directly to sustainable and profitable growth.

Who You Are

You are an independent and entrepreneurial professional with strong commercial, communication and project management skills. You translate business concepts into concrete products and services and present them convincingly to both internal and external stakeholders.

You are analytical, strategic and results‑oriented, take initiative and have a strong interest in supply chain.

In addition, you bring:

  • a completed Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Logistics, International Business, Economics, Commercial Studies or a comparable field;
  • at least 5 years of experience in Business Development, Sales or Consultancy within Supply Chain Management or Contract Logistics;
  • experience selling warehouse and transport solutions in a B2B environment;
  • knowledge of the Life Sciences & Healthcare sector;
  • knowledge of national and international supply chains and the 3PL
