We are looking for an experienced Data Engineer to join a growing data and analytics team and support the design, development, and optimisation of modern cloud-based data platforms. You'll play a key role in delivering scalable data solutions that enable better decision-making across the business.

Key Responsibilities
- Design, build and maintain robust Azure-based data pipelines.
- Develop and optimise ETL/ELT processes for structured and unstructured data.
- Integrate data from various internal and external sources.
- Ensure data quality, reliability, security and governance standards are met.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders, analysts and architects to translate requirements into technical solutions.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of data platform architecture and performance.
- Support deployment, monitoring and troubleshooting of data solutions.
Required Experience
- 5-7 years of experience as a Data Engineer.
- Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure data services.
- Strong SQL skills and experience working with large-scale datasets.
- Experience with Python and data transformation frameworks.
- Knowledge of Databricks and Spark is highly desirable.
- Experience building cloud-native data platforms and modern data architectures.
- Familiarity with CI/CD and DevOps best practices.
Soft Skills
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work independently in a freelance consulting environment.
- Proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement.
- Comfortable working within multicultural and multilingual teams.
Language Requirements
- Professional English.
- Fluent Dutch and/or French.
Nice to Have
- Experience within large enterprise environments.
- Exposure to Data Governance and Data Quality initiatives.
- Experience with Power BI or analytics platforms.
