Job Description Summary

The Research and Development Center located in Brussels is one of the main R&D hubs of The Coca-Cola Company. We lead the development of new beverages (carbonated soft drinks, juices, iced teas, water, dairy), packaging solutions, and retail equipment innovations for Europe, Eurasia, the Middle East, and Africa. We are looking for an experienced Production Technician with a strong background in the food and beverage industry to operate within our Pilot Plant, working across a wide variety of beverage and ingredient manufacturing equipment.

What You'll Do for Us

  • Manufacture ingredients, beverages, syrups, and beverage bases according to production schedules and technical specifications
  • Operate and troubleshoot pilot plant and food processing equipment while ensuring optimal process performance
  • Apply and maintain strict food safety, Quality Assurance (QA), HACCP, and GMP standards
  • Monitor production parameters and ensure compliance with product quality and regulatory requirements
  • Support beverage process development, scale-up activities, and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Follow and improve Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for manufacturing and cleaning operations
  • Ensure compliance with occupational health, safety, and hygiene regulations
  • Participate in preventive maintenance activities and collaborate with technical teams to optimize equipment reliability

Qualifications & Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in food or beverage manufacturing, pilot plant operations, or large-scale food production environments
  • Strong hands-on experience with beverage processing, syrup preparation, ingredient handling, mixing, batching, pasteurization, CIP systems, or similar food manufacturing technologies
  • Solid understanding of food safety standards, GMP, HACCP, hygiene regulations, and quality systems
  • Experience working in highly regulated food production environments
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Food Science, Food Technology, Chemical Engineering, or a related field
  • Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written; French and Dutch are a plus
  • Proactive mindset with strong problem-solving abilities and a continuous improvement approach
  • Comfortable working in a multicultural and innovation-driven environment
