ABOUT THE VACANCY

Do you immediately spot opportunities in the numbers, but prefer to turn insights into action? Do you enjoy being on the shop floor, get energy from strong teams and know how to turn commercial opportunities into results?

As Country Manager Belgium, you run your market as if it were your own business. You identify the biggest opportunities, set clear priorities and work with your teams to turn plans into visible results. You know your stores, your people, your customer and your numbers.

Ready to take ownership of our Belgian business? Then we are looking for you as our new Country Manager Belgium.

As Country Manager Belgium, you are responsible for the commercial and operational performance of our 12 WE stores in Belgium. Within our European retail strategy, you determine what your market needs to succeed and translate this into clear priorities and concrete actions.

You steer on revenue, costs, profitability and operational KPIs, keep a close eye on budgets and forecasts and quickly turn data into action. But you don't manage the business from spreadsheets alone. You spend a lot of time in our stores, know your teams and see first-hand where opportunities lie. You have an eye for the details that make a difference, from visual merchandising and customer experience to staffing and execution on the shop floor.

Strong results start with strong teams. You coach and develop your Store Managers, set clear expectations and challenge them to take ownership of their stores and results. You recognise talent, encourage development and actively build strong retail leaders for the future.

Retail keeps moving, and so do you. You follow developments in the Belgian market, our customers and competitors, identify commercial opportunities and take initiative when something can be done smarter or better. You bring people along through change and make sure plans don't stay on paper but become visible on the shop floor.

In this role, you report to the European Sales Director and work closely with colleagues across our European retail organisation.

Where you make impact:

  • You have at least 7 years of experience in a commercial leadership role within retail and have demonstrated that you can take responsibility for the performance of multiple stores.
  • You are ready to take the next step towards full responsibility for a market and are motivated to truly own that responsibility.
  • You steer confidently on revenue, costs, profitability, budgets, forecasts and operational KPIs and know how to translate data into concrete commercial actions.
  • You are a strong people leader who knows how to coach, develop and challenge Store Managers while setting clear expectations.
  • You are hands-on and consider it natural to spend a significant amount of time in our stores. You want to see for yourself what is happening with our customers, teams and operations.
  • You take ownership, set sharp priorities and move quickly.
  • You combine a strong commercial mindset with an eye for detail and understand how visual merchandising, customer experience, staffing and execution contribute to results.
  • You take ownership, set clear priorities and act quickly when you identify opportunities or areas for improvement.
  • You know how to bring people along through change and translate strategy into concrete execution.
  • You understand the Belgian retail market and know how to turn market and customer developments into commercial opportunities.

We evaluate all applicants based on competencies, experience and equal pay (m/f/x).

That is why our recruitment process includes conversations with key stakeholders, a practical case in which you share your commercial perspective and approach with us, and an assessment to further explore your leadership qualities.
