Your Key Responsibilities

As Team Leader of the Neutronic Studies team, you will lead a multidisciplinary team of approximately 10 engineers specialized in reactor physics, criticality, shielding, activation and residual heat calculations. Reporting to the Core & Fuel Studies Group Manager, you will combine technical leadership, people management and operational coordination to ensure the successful delivery of projects.

Your responsibilities include:

  • Conducting activities to ensure quality, respect for deadlines and budgets;
  • Maintaining and developing team spirit;
  • Promoting a collaborative, inclusive, and high-performance team culture;
  • Driving continuous improvement and knowledge sharing within the team;
  • Contributing to business growth through client engagement and support for commercial activities;
  • Allocating tasks to team members under their responsibility, and coordinating their efforts with respect to their team missions and to requirements from other activities in application of the Matrix Functional Structure within the Core&Fuel Group;
  • Updating/organizing the workload of the team members under their responsibility in consultation with the other parties;
  • Monitoring the progress of studies performed by the team in coordination with the different technical leaders and project managers;
  • Ensuring the individual assessment of team members, and performing annual performance reviews (including the assessment of team members, the definition of objectives and the identification of development needs);
  • Reporting to the Core&Fuel Group Manager on the operation of the team and requiring arbitration in case of conflicting of priorities.

We would love to hear from people with

  • You are a civil or industrial engineer, specialized in nuclear energy, nuclear physics or electromechanics, or B.Sc. in physics.
  • You have a good knowledge of the nuclear industry and professional experience in this field.
  • You have a good theoretical background in PWR nuclear systems and core physics phenomena.
  • You have strong leadership skills : decision‑making, communication, problem solving and organizational skills.
  • You are able to inspire, motivate, and develop team members.
  • You are able of managing & leading change and transformation initiatives.
  • You are keen to develop your technical knowledge and ready to invest yourself in the domain.
  • Practical experience in neutronics / reactor physics / nuclear field is an asset.
  • You speak English and French or Dutch with a good practice of the other language.
  • You are a good listener, dynamic and you enjoy working in a team.
  • Habilitation : YES mandatory
