About the company

Our client is an international provider of electric vehicle charging and energy management solutions, delivering AC and DC charging hardware alongside integrated software and energy management technology.

The business is looking for a commercially driven Senior Account Executive to support the continued growth of its AC charging business across the Benelux region.

This is a balanced account development and new-business position, suited to a proactive salesperson who can grow established partnerships while identifying and winning new commercial opportunities.

The role

The position will be approximately 50% new business development and 50% management and growth of existing accounts.

You will take responsibility for developing existing customer relationships while expanding the company's presence across the AC charging market.

The role has a strong channel sales element. You will work with partners including wholesalers and distributors who supply installers and end customers, alongside direct relationships with utilities, fleets, contractors and other major organisations operating within the EV charging ecosystem.

You will need to be comfortable both developing established accounts and proactively getting in front of new customers and partners.

Key responsibilities

  • Develop new business opportunities across the AC EV charging market.
  • Manage and grow an existing portfolio of customer and partner relationships.
  • Develop relationships with wholesalers, distributors, installers and other channel partners.
  • Build direct commercial relationships with utilities, fleet operators, contractors and other strategic customers.
  • Identify opportunities to increase revenue within existing accounts through account development, upselling and cross‑selling.
  • Proactively prospect and develop a strong pipeline of new opportunities.
  • Take ownership of the sales cycle from initial engagement and qualification through to negotiation and close.
  • Understand customer requirements and communicate technical products and solutions in a clear, commercially relevant way.
  • Work closely with internal technical, product and commercial teams to deliver the right solutions for customers.
  • Maintain accurate pipeline and opportunity information through Salesforce.
  • Monitor market developments, competitor activity and emerging opportunities across EV charging and energy management.
  • Attend customer and partner meetings across Belgium and the Netherlands.

What you'll bring

  • A strong track record of both developing existing customer relationships and winning new business.
  • Experience selling technical products or solutions.
  • Experience working with distributors, wholesalers, installers, channel partners or similar B2B customer groups would be particularly relevant.
  • Strong commercial communication, negotiation and relationship-building skills.
  • The ability to understand technical concepts and communicate them clearly to customers and partners.
  • A proactive, commercially minded and self‑motivated approach.
  • Strong organisation and pipeline management skills.
  • Experience using CRM platforms such as Salesforce is advantageous.
  • Fluent/native-level Dutch and fluent English are required.
  • French would be highly advantageous.

Experience within the EV charging market is strongly advantageous, particularly candidates with knowledge of AC charging and established relationships across the Benelux market.

Relevant backgrounds could include:

  • AC EV charging
  • EV charging hardware
  • Charging manufacturers
  • Electrical wholesalers and distribution
  • Electrical infrastructure
  • Smart charging and energy management
  • Utilities and energy
  • Fleet charging
  • Technical hardware and connected products
  • Other relevant B2B channel sales environments

Candidates currently working for EV charging manufacturers or other businesses selling through wholesalers, distributors and installers would be particularly relevant.

The priority is finding a commercially strong salesperson who can develop existing accounts while proactively creating new business and building long-term channel partnerships.
