The Marketing Development Representative (MDR) (m/f/d)

Plays a pivotal role in connecting Marketing‑generated demand with Sales execution. As a trusted first point of contact for prospective customers, you will engage both inbound leads and outbound target accounts to identify business challenges, uncover opportunities, and accelerate commercial growth.

More than a traditional lead qualification role, the MDR acts as a strategic partner to prospects by helping them clarify priorities, understand potential solutions, and assess readiness for further engagement. Through meaningful conversations and market insight, you will provide Sales teams with the context and momentum needed for successful customer interactions.

The essential requirements of the job include:

  • Manage and nurture inbound leads generated through marketing campaigns, digital channels, webinars, events, and other demand‑generation activities.
  • Execute proactive outbound prospecting and account‑based marketing (ABM) activities within strategic target accounts.
  • Engage prospects to understand business challenges, objectives, priorities, and desired outcomes.
  • Identify key stakeholders, decision‑making processes, and potential barriers to progress.
  • Assess opportunity fit and readiness for Sales engagement.
  • Support regional and global lead‑generation campaigns, events, and commercial initiatives.
  • Deliver high‑quality handovers to Sales, including customer needs, business impact, stakeholder information, and recommended next steps.
  • Maintain accurate, enriched customer and opportunity data within Salesforce, ensuring CRM compliance and data integrity.
  • Share customer insights, market feedback, and emerging trends with Marketing and Sales teams.
  • Collaborate closely with regional Sales teams to support pipeline development and revenue growth objectives.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related field required.
  • Experience in lead generation, business development, inside sales, demand generation, or a comparable commercial role.
  • Strong prospecting, discovery, active listening, and communication skills.
  • Customer‑centric and consultative approach to engaging prospects.
  • Ability to uncover business challenges, understand decision dynamics, and create meaningful customer conversations.
  • Experience working with CRM platforms; Salesforce experience preferred.
  • Fluent in English, Italian, and Spanish , with excellent written and verbal communication skills. Native or near‑native proficiency strongly preferred.
  • Additional European language skills, including German, Dutch, Polish, or Turkish, are highly valued.
  • Self‑motivated, resilient, organized, and comfortable working in a fast‑paced international remote or hybrid environment.
