What you will do
You will join a regional team responsible for the operation and maintenance of water treatment installations and pumping stations. Your work will contribute directly to improving water quality in Flemish streams and rivers.
Your tasks include:
- Maintaining and managing water treatment installations and pumping stations in the region
- Ensuring the purification process runs optimally, from electrical and mechanical checks to taking and analysing water samples
- Troubleshooting malfunctions such as blocked pumps and adjusting the purification process when needed
- Performing laboratory work, administrative tasks and digital reporting to keep the job varied and engaging
You will be based at a main water treatment installation and work mobile across the surrounding region.
What we are looking for
- A valid BA4 certificate (or BA5) for electrical work
- Intermediate knowledge of electricity, specifically basic industrial electricity
- Intermediate experience with process monitoring: following trends and adjusting installations accordingly
- Intermediate skills in working independently after a training period, including reporting via various IT applications
- Professional working proficiency in Dutch
- Awareness and acceptance of safety requirements, including wearing a helmet, safety shoes, work clothing and gas detection equipment at all times
You will be asked to provide a valid BA4 certificate of competence before starting. If you already hold a BA5 certificate of competence, this will suffice and replaces the BA4 requirement.
Candidates who meet the criteria will be invited for an online knowledge test. Only upon passing this test will you be invited for an interview.
