Job Summary
The Alliance Interfaces Chapter Lead will be responsible for leading a team of experts focused on the design, development, and evolution of SWIFT's interfaces, ensuring their seamless integration and optimal performance within the global financial ecosystem. This role combines technical leadership with people management, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
Job Responsibilities
- Lead and manage a chapter of highly skilled engineers and specialists focused on SWIFT's Alliance interface products (e.g., Alliance Access and Alliance WebPlatform).
- Define and champion best practices, architectural patterns, and development standards for Alliance Interfaces, ensuring consistency, scalability, and security.
- Provide technical guidance, mentorship, and coaching to chapter members, fostering their professional growth and skill development.
- Monitor industry trends, emerging technologies, and competitive landscapes to proactively identify opportunities and challenges related to SWIFT's interface offerings.
- Contribute to the definition and enforcement of quality standards, performance metrics, and compliance requirements for Alliance Interfaces.
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
- 10+ years of experience in software development, with a significant focus on financial messaging, enterprise integration, or distributed systems.
- 5+ years of experience in a technical leadership or management role, leading teams of engineers.
- Deep understanding and hands‑on experience with SWIFT's Alliance products.
- Strong knowledge of financial messaging standards (e.g., ISO 20022, MT messages) and related industry protocols.
- Proven expertise in system architecture, design patterns, and scalable software development.
- Experience with various programming languages, integration technologies (e.g., MQ, APIs), and operating systems (e.g., Linux, Windows).
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to diverse audiences.
- Demonstrated ability to drive technical excellence, foster innovation, and build high‑performing teams.
- Strong problem‑solving skills and a results‑oriented mindset.
