Most finance roles stop at the books. This one starts with what the portfolio is worth: valuations, investor reports and the models behind them, on top of a balance sheet you close yourself, without a big team behind you. It’s built for people whose track record already stands out, and who ask the question nobody else in the room thought of.
Our partner is an international VC fund that has spent 10+ years backing ambitious founders, regardless of geography, sector or stage, often as their first institutional investor. The team is lean and based in Brussels. Finance is compact and operational, with direct exposure to how the fund itself is managed and valued. You work directly with the partners and sit at the centre of the fund’s financial infrastructure.
Your impact as Finance Manager
- Value portfolio companies, monitor their performance and prepare quarterly investor reports
- Build and maintain the models behind fund performance, cash planning and scenarios
- Lead financial management of the management companies: budgeting, cash planning, balance sheet and tax planning
- Coordinate the annual audit across all funds and management companies, plus quarterly closings and VAT with external accountants
- Keep the numbers behind every entity and portfolio company clean and current
- Automate recurring work through software implementations and AI tooling
Less reporting on what happened, more numbers that shape what happens next.
