Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Trade Counter Assistant role based in Antwerp. The Trade Counter Assistant will support day-to-day operations at the trade counter, including welcoming trade customers, answering product queries, and processing orders and returns. Responsibilities include handling stock, preparing items for collection or dispatch, maintaining a clean and organized counter area, and assisting with basic merchandising. The role also involves using company systems to check inventory, update customer records, and support sales activities, while ensuring a professional and courteous experience for all visitors. Collaboration with colleagues in sales, warehouse, and customer service is key to meeting service and delivery expectations.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong Interpersonal Skills and Communication abilities to interact effectively with trade customers and team members.
- Candidates should possess solid Customer Service skills to manage enquiries, resolve issues, and provide a positive in-person experience at the trade counter.
- Candidates should possess basic Trading and sales support skills to process orders, handle transactions, and assist with trade-related activities.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in handling stock, documentation, and order processing.
- Comfort working in a fast-paced retail or trade environment; previous experience in jewellery, luxury goods, or a trade counter setting is an advantage.
- Basic computer literacy and familiarity with inventory or point-of-sale systems.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform light manual handling; fluency in English, Dutch and French is a must
