Overview
With this innovative and distruptive technology company, we aren't just making parts; we are solving the most physical bottleneck in the AI revolution: Heat. While traditional data center cooling is reaching its physical limits, we’ve developed ultra-performant Smartfins technology using proprietary generative algorithms. We are a lean, fast-moving startup bridging the gap between high-level software intelligence and massive-scale hardware manufacturing. If you believe that a design isn't real until it has been stressed, measured, and validated in the lab, you belong here.
The Role
As our Two-Phase CFD Expert, you are the scientific anchor for our next-generation thermal solutions. You won't just be running standard simulations; you will be the master of the "phase-change" frontier, defining how our Smartfins handle the extreme heat flux of tomorrow's AI hardware. This is a high-autonomy role where you will lead international research initiatives, and bridge the gap between complex boiling/condensation physics and ready-to-ship liquid cooling products.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead Global Research Collaborations: Act as the technical lead for high-stakes research projects with partners and academic institutions, specifically focusing on our US-based collaborations.
- Architect the Boiling Loop: Develop and validate two-phase flow models to predict performance in high-heat-flux evaporators, ensuring our tech stays ahead of the GPU refresh cycle.
- Bridge Theory and Lab: Design and oversee experimental testing to correlate your CFD models with real-world thermal data, closing the "Digital Twin" loop.
- Refine the Algorithmic Kernel: Collaborate with our software team to integrate phase-change physics into our proprietary generative design tools.
- Drive the Hardware Lifecycle: Work directly with the mechanical design team to ensure our generative geometries are optimized for both thermal performance and high-volume manufacturing.
What You Bring
The Essentials:
- Advanced Academic Depth: A PhD with specific research in Phase-Change Heat Transfer (Boiling, Condensation, or Multi-phase flows) within a CFD environment.
- The "Global Mindset": Proven ability to lead collaborative projects across borders. You are comfortable managing the "time-zone dance" and are excited to travel to the US to work onsite with partners and see our technology in action.
- Numerical & Experimental Fluency: Deep expertise in modeling complex fluid interfaces, paired with the hands-on intuition to validate those models in a lab setting.
- Startup Grit: You thrive in lean environments where you own the full design lifecycle and prefer rapid prototyping over corporate red tape.
- The "Extra Mile":
- Experience in the data center, semiconductor, or AI infrastructure space.
- Familiarity with OpenFOAM or similar open-source CFD frameworks.
- A portfolio of research where you’ve scaled "stealth" concepts into industry-standard applications.
Why Join Us?
- Real Ownership: We are a capital-light, agile team where your algorithmic and research decisions directly impact the physical product.
- International Exposure: You will be at the forefront of our global expansion, leading our most technical relationships in the US market.
- The Pace: We operate at the inflection point of the GPU/CPU refresh cycle—fast, iterative, and always pushing the boundary of what's possible.
- Global Impact: You are directly contributing to reducing the massive energy footprint of the AI revolution.
