We’re looking for an experienced Senior HR Business Partner to join our People team and take the lead on HR partnering across France and Belgium.

This is a varied and influential role where you’ll partner closely with senior leaders to shape and deliver people plans that support both local business needs and our wider regional and global People strategy.

You'll be a trusted advisor to the business, providing expert guidance across employee relations, organisational change, talent, engagement, reward, workforce planning and employment legislation.

Importantly, this is a role for someone who enjoys being close to the business. You’ll balance strategic HR partnering with a genuinely hands‑on and operational approach, managing complex people matters and supporting day‑to‑day HR delivery across France and Belgium.

What you’ll be doing

  • Partner with senior leaders to develop and deliver local people plans aligned with regional and global priorities.
  • Provide expert guidance on French and Belgian employment legislation and complex employee relations matters.
  • Build strong relationships with the French Works Council/CSE and other employee representative bodies, supporting consultation and communication processes.
  • Lead and support organisational change, restructuring and transformation activity.
  • Coach and challenge leaders on performance, capability, engagement and people management.
  • Support talent management, succession planning, learning and development, DEI, wellbeing and employee engagement initiatives.
  • Lead on local HR policies, ensuring they remain compliant, relevant and effectively communicated.
  • Oversee local reward and benefits activity in partnership with our Global Reward team and external providers.
  • Use people data and workforce insights to identify trends, mitigate risk and support business decisions.
  • Lead and contribute to local, regional and global People projects.
  • Line manage and develop an HR Advisor, ensuring high-quality HR service delivery across Belgium.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues across the wider People function to share expertise and best practice.
  • There may also be opportunities to support the UK business as part of the role.

What we’re looking for

  • Senior HR Business Partner/generalist HR experience within a multinational or matrix environment
  • Professional fluency in French and English is essential, Dutch language skills would be a strong advantage
  • Strong, hands‑on HR and employee relations experience across both France and Belgium
  • Excellent knowledge of French and Belgian employment legislation
  • Experience working with French Works Councils/CSE
  • Experience managing complex ER, organisational change and consultation processes
  • Confidence partnering with and influencing senior leaders
  • The ability and willingness to work at both a strategic and hands‑on operational level
  • Previous people management experience would be beneficial
  • Experience within recruitment, staffing or professional services would also be advantageous.
