During 2026, Falk & Ross Group ran two separate initiatives to address its ERP and digital commerce estate: a transformation diagnostic (formerly run as Project Meridian) covering ERP, digital commerce, and the IT operating model, and a hands‑on B2B eCommerce workstream (formerly run as Project PULSE) that produced detailed web shop requirements, a customer registration/VAT validation design, and a Shopify‑to‑ERP integration architecture. Both have since been stood down as standalone programmes; neither retains an active Programme Director.
The diagnostic's conclusion was clear: deploy a modern B2B eCommerce platform, Shopify or a comparable alternative, and establish a central data hub to carry integration between commerce, ERP, PIM, DAM, CRM, and marketing systems going forward. Taking that conclusion together with the detailed requirements and integration architecture already produced under the earlier eCommerce workstream, the Board of Directors has voted to sequence the transformation: the B2B eCommerce (Shopify) implementation proceeds now, as the single highest‑urgency, highest‑customer‑value workstream, ahead of and independent from the ERP replacement and Data Hub build, which follow in a later phase.
Ask Phill, a Shopify Plus Platinum Partner, has been pre‑selected as the Shopify systems integrator. Induxx (Akeneo PIM) and Humix (Bynder DAM) remain the group's existing implementation partners for those two systems. On the ERP side, the current on‑prem system is Sage 100, integrated today via an existing MySQL interface layer (frinterface) rather than directly against Sage, with a migration to Sage X3 cloud expected roughly two years out, at which point the Shopify integration is re‑pointed at the new Sage X3 environment.
This role picks up where that earlier eCommerce workstream left off. Its requirements, VAT validation flow, and Sage integration architecture are retained as the working baseline; the Program Manager's job is to turn that baseline into a live platform serving 58,000 registered customers (28,000 active) across 31 European countries, integrated with Akeneo PIM, Bynder DAM, Salesforce CRM, HubSpot Marketing, and the ERP, Sage 100 today, Sage X3 v12 once the future ERP workstream lands, via an integration layer designed to plug into the future Data Hub rather than be rebuilt by it.
The Program Manager is the single point of accountability for delivering this programme: platform, integrations, multi‑market rollout, and the vendor and integrator ecosystem behind it.
The Role, What You Will Own
Platform and integration scope, owning end‑to‑end delivery of the Shopify Plus B2B implementation across all in‑scope integrations: Akeneo PIM (event‑driven catalogue and stock sync, via Induxx), Bynder DAM (via Humix), Salesforce CRM (quote flow, price‑list assignment), HubSpot Marketing, and the ERP integration layer.
- ERP integration architecture, holding the two‑phase middleware approach on course: near‑term integration against Sage 100 via the existing frinterface interface layer, followed by a re‑point to Sage X3 cloud once that migration lands (expected roughly two years out), so the later ERP cutover s a connector swap rather than a re‑platform.
- Multi‑market sequencing, governing the rollout across 31 countries, prioritised by the largest markets (DE, BE, FR, ES, IT, AT, CH, PL, HU), including country‑level localisation of language, currency, VAT, payment providers, and shipment.
- Vendor and partner management, running the relationship with Ask Phill as the appointed Shopify systems integrator, keeping Induxx (Akeneo) and Humix (Bynder) engaged as the continuing PIM and DAM implementation partners, and selecting the middleware/connector approach for the Sage 100 (frinterface) integration.
- Programme governance, building and running the Steering Committee (Project Board) cadence, Highlight and Exception Reporting, workstream structure (Client Project Lead – Digital Customer Facing, Product Owner, and technical/integration leads), budget, risk register, and benefit realisation.
- Reseller API migration, owning the transition plan for the 70 existing API‑customers currently on the legacy OXID integration, ensuring uninterrupted catalogue, pricing, stock, and order‑status service through cutover.
- Executive interface, acting as principal point of contact for the Executive Sponsor and, where required, the Board, on delivery progress, risk, budget, and market go‑live readiness.
- Forward compatibility, designing the integration layer so it plugs cleanly into the ERP replacement and Data Hub build once that later phase is chartered, so nothing built now needs to be reworked when Phase 2 begins.
Immediate Priorities, First 30 Days
- Confirm and lock the Phase 1 ERP integration approach, Sage 100 via the existing frinterface interface layer, with read access to a test
