Senior / Principal Analog & RF IC Design Engineer

Location: Leuven, Belgium

About the Role

We are seeking experienced Senior and Principal Analog/RF IC Design Engineers to contribute to the development of next-generation integrated circuits for high-speed communications.

This is an opportunity to join a research-driven IC design team developing advanced prototypes and products for the rapidly evolving high-speed communications market.

You will apply your expertise in circuit architecture, analysis and optimisation to develop high-performance integrated circuits that meet demanding technical specifications.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, simulate, lay out and test integrated analog, mixed-signal and/or RF circuits.

  • Evaluate circuit topologies and architectures against state-of-the-art technologies and performance requirements.

  • Optimise circuit parameters to achieve stringent performance targets.

  • Develop integrated circuits using advanced CMOS and/or silicon-on-insulator (SOI) technologies.

  • Contribute to the development and validation of advanced communication IC prototypes and products.

  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams to improve circuit performance, quality and design processes.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering (MSEE) with at least four years of relevant industry experience, or a relevant PhD with an excellent technical background.

  • Demonstrated track record of silicon measurement results.

  • Expertise in CMOS analog, RF or millimetre-wave integrated circuit design.

  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to evaluate circuit architectures and optimise designs against demanding specifications.

  • Good communication skills and a collaborative, team-oriented approach.

  • Results-driven mindset, attention to detail and commitment to continuous improvement.

Desirable Experience

  • Broadband driver IC design.

  • Transimpedance amplifier (TIA) design.

  • Ring modulator control circuitry.

The Opportunity

Contribute to advanced IC research and the development of next-generation communication technologies, working on challenging circuit design problems from architecture selection through simulation, layout and silicon validation.
