Business Analyst Energy

Avertim is a management consulting group that translates strategy into actionable projects across three service lines: Within our Energy & Transport sector, our consultants work directly with leading organisations on complex business, digital, data and operational transformation projects. You will join Avertim as a consultant and contribute to client projects where your expertise and ability to deliver concrete results make a real difference.

Your role

You will support Energy & Transport clients in understanding business challenges, defining needs and translating them into clear, actionable solutions. Working with business, operational and technical stakeholders, you will contribute to projects ranging from process improvement and digitalisation to system implementation and organisational change. As a Business Analyst, you will work within multidisciplinary project teams and support Energy & Transport clients throughout the full project lifecycle, from business analysis and requirements definition to implementation, change and adoption.

Your responsibilities

• Partner with stakeholders to understand business objectives, challenges, priorities and expected outcomes.
• Translate business needs into clear requirements, process descriptions, user stories or other project deliverables.
• Map current and future processes and identify opportunities to simplify, standardise or improve ways of working.
• Assess the impact of proposed solutions on processes, teams, data and supporting systems.
• Act as the link between business, operational and technical teams and facilitate shared understanding.
• Support solution design, implementation, testing, change and adoption activities where relevant.
• Prepare analyses, recommendations, reports and presentations for project and management stakeholders.
• Contribute to project governance and help ensure that delivered solutions respond to the agreed business needs.

Your profile

• You hold a Master’s degree in Business, Economics, Engineering, IT or a related field.
• You have 3 to 7 years of experience as a Business Analyst, Consultant or in a comparable analytical role.
• You can structure complex information and turn it into practical recommendations and clear deliverables.
• You communicate confidently with different stakeholders and know how to facilitate constructive interviews and workshops.
• You are curious, pragmatic and comfortable working in changing project environments.
• Experience with process modelling, requirements management or Agile ways of working is an asset.
• Experience in Energy, Utilities, Transport, Mobility or Infrastructure is an asset, but not mandatory.
• You are fluent in Dutch and/or French and have a professional level of English.
