Duties And Responsibilities

• Fully responsible for the safe handling, storage, receipt, issue, and care of materials, components, and inventory under their responsibility.
• Maintaining stock in designated locations and ensuring physical stock is organised and accurately reflects computer system records.
• Entering receipts, issues, transfers, and other inventory transactions into the computer system accurately and in a timely manner.
• Assigning location numbers to new and transferred stock and ensuring proper stock identification.
• Physical receipt, inspection, storage, issue, and movement of materials and inventory items.
• Organising and coordinating stock transfers between designated storage areas and ensuring all related transactions are correctly recorded in the computer system.
• Maintaining the cleanliness, orderliness, and general upkeep of all storage areas.
• Compliance with the requirements of the ISO 14001 Environmental Management System and the ISO 45001 Occupational Health and Safety Management System.
• Responsible for immediately reporting any hazards, near misses, incidents, unsafe conditions, or unsafe acts to area management.
• Must hold a valid driving licence and may be required to undertake company-related errands, collections and deliveries outside the company premises as required by business needs.
• Preference will be given to candidates holding Category C and/or C1 driving licences.

Skills/Education

• Secondary level of education.
• Knowledge of using a P.C.
• Communication and organisation skills.

Working Hours

Working hours might also include work between 10pm of one day and 6am of the following day, and the employee concedes to this.
