About the company

Our client is an international technology group specialized in advanced night vision and thermal imaging solutions for the defense and security sectors.

With a strong international presence, production facilities across several countries and hundreds of thousands of systems deployed worldwide, the group develops and manufactures high-precision technologies used in demanding operational environments.

The Belgian entity, based in the Zaventem area, is currently establishing a new production and assembly facility dedicated to next-generation thermal imaging systems.

The role

As a Technical Assembler, you will be responsible for the precise manual assembly of high-tech electro-optical products.

You will carry out assembly operations, perform quality checks and calibration procedures, while contributing to the launch and development of the new production line.

As the site is being built up, you will have the opportunity to provide input, suggest improvements and actively contribute to establishing efficient production processes from the start.

Full training will be provided.

Key responsibilities

  • Assemble electronic devices, components and sub-assemblies according to technical drawings, specifications and detailed work instructions.
  • Perform micro-soldering and rework operations under magnification, while respecting strict ESD requirements.
  • Detect, investigate and correct PCB or component-related issues.
  • Apply thermal compounds, silicone and adhesives accurately and consistently.
  • Carry out torque-controlled assembly operations according to validated procedures.
  • Program and configure electronic modules and perform in-process functional and quality checks.
  • Record test results and assembly information to ensure full product traceability.
  • Identify and report deviations or non-conformities and work closely with engineering and process teams to resolve technical issues.
  • Complete production documentation, checklists and assembly records.
  • Contribute to the improvement and development of work instructions and production procedures.
  • Maintain a clean, organised and efficient workstation in line with 5S principles.
  • Follow all applicable safety, quality and wellbeing requirements.

Profile

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience in Electronics, Electromechanics or a related technical field.
  • At least 3 years of relevant industrial experience; experience in precision or technical assembly is a strong advantage.
  • Excellent manual skills and a high level of precision and attention to detail.
  • Structured, reliable and methodical, with the ability to follow technical instructions accurately.
  • Practical and hands‑on approach, with a genuine interest in working on the production floor.
  • Curious, adaptable and willing to learn new technologies and processes.
  • Comfortable working in a team and contributing to a new industrial project.
  • Good working proficiency in English (minimum B2).
  • Fluent in either French or Dutch.
