Are you an experienced actuarial professional with a passion for advising pension funds and large organizations? As a Senior Actuary, you’ll have the opportunity to work on challenging projects and serve as the primary point of contact for clients. With your expertise, you’ll provide valuable insights and analyses in the areas of pension management and legislation. Responsibilities
- Actively participate in various projects for pension funds and large companies.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for the client and ensure the actuarial management of pension funds, including actuarial assessments, reports, recommendations, and monitoring of financial coverage.
- Perform calculations and reports in accordance with IFRS/IAS guidelines.
- Provide high-quality analysis of changes specific to the client.
- Document the processes applied.
- Provide advice to the client on the funding plan, the strategic investment plan (SIP), asset‑liability management (ALM), the continuity test, and reinsurance options.
- Assist in the design of pension regulations and the implementation of new pension plans.
- Explain the implications of new pension legislation, FSMA circulars, and other relevant regulations.
- Support mergers and acquisitions (M&A).
- Conduct a critical assessment of business processes.
Qualifications
- Hold a master’s degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Applied Economics, Civil Engineering, Computer Science, or a comparable field.
- Have between 6 and 10 years of relevant work experience, preferably in actuarial consulting.
- Possess strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
- Be communicative and have strong interpersonal skills; convey ideas clearly and in a structured manner to others.
- Demonstrate good team spirit and enjoy collaborating with colleagues from various departments.
- Have a strong sense of responsibility and be able to tackle tasks independently; possess organizational skills and the ability to set priorities.
- Build a relationship of trust with the client as a consultant and demonstrate a customer‑focused attitude in all aspects of the work.
- Speak Dutch fluently and have a basic knowledge of French.
