This is a hands-on, project-focused position where you'll be involved from the initial requirements and solution design through to implementation, testing, commissioning and go-live. You'll work with technologies including AutoStore, robotics, conveyors and Warehouse Control Systems (WCS), helping ensure that automation, WMS and IT systems work together effectively.

The Role of IT Automation Engineer

  • Translate operational requirements into functional and technical specifications
  • Work with automation suppliers to develop and deliver solutions
  • Act as the key link between operations, IT, WMS teams and automation suppliers

You'll be working around a range of warehouse automation and IT technologies, including:

  • AutoStore
  • Warehouse Control Systems (WCS/WES)

This is a strong opportunity for someone who wants to move beyond traditional IT project management or business analysis and develop deeper expertise in warehouse automation, WCS/WES and logistics technology. The role offers exposure to major automation projects, international stakeholders and the opportunity to have a direct impact on how automated warehouse operations are designed and implemented.
