Geotechnical Engineer

Development of the first web application for the niche market of deep foundations began in May 2020. Today, nearly six years later,including four years of active operations, CloudPiling proudly looks back on the journey completed and the growth achieved.

Over the years, we have built strong references within the construction industry and successfully expanded at a rapid pace across both Belgium and the Netherlands. The foundations are now in place to further grow our enthusiastic team.

CloudPiling has ambitious plans for the future, and that is why we are looking to strengthen our team in the Bruges region. Are you passionate about geotechnics, do you enjoy technical challenges, and would you like to help build innovative software solutions within the foundation engineering sector? Then you might be the colleague we are looking for.

Role and responsibilities

• You will work with our in-house developed calculation tool to prepare preliminary geotechnical advice for our clients.
• You independently request the necessary documentation from various parties, including soil investigation reports, specifications, plans, and other relevant information.
• Building strong relationships comes naturally to you. You proactively contact clients to discuss the desired geotechnical concept.
• You always strive to get the very best result. You set high standards for yourself and develop multiple alternatives, ultimately leading to the most economical stability design.
• In collaboration with our technical developer, you prepare benchmark calculations.
• If desired, you will have the opportunity to join commercial meetings with warm leads.
• Using the experience you gain, you contribute to improving the user experience through tutorials and guidance materials.
• You are given the time and freedom to think along with the team about future innovations, making full use of your creative engineering mindset.

Expertise and personality

• You hold a Master of Science degree in Civil Engineering.
• Affinity with our target market (deep foundations) as well as the tech environment is a strong asset, but certainly not a requirement.
• You have an analytical mindset and are quick to grasp new concepts.
• You present yourself in a professional manner.
• You are not afraid to roll up your sleeves and take a hands-on approach.
• You are precise, motivated, and driven to get the best out of yourself.
• You are based in West or East Flanders.
