What you will do

You will join the market coordination team at a Belgian energy network operator, supporting a portfolio of projects related to future changes and innovations in the energy market. The team takes on a central expertise role for the interfaces between projects and market operations and data management.

Your responsibilities include:

• Acting as business analyst within one or more projects, monitoring content dependencies with other projects and working closely with other business analysts
• Facilitating meetings between process owners, internal and external experts, using best-practice processes and helping with change acceptance
• Contributing to projects by providing expertise, supporting project leaders and performing peer reviews of deliverables
• Documenting and following up on working groups and meetings, capturing decisions and proposals in clear documentation
• Maintaining an overview of topics under analysis, taking into account changing priorities and communicating transparently with the team and stakeholders
• Developing overarching communication and training materials
• Preparing for and actively participating in internal and external working groups
• Analysing new initiatives or change requests in depth, considering both a market perspective and an internal perspective
• Setting up end-to-end test scenarios and supporting their execution
• Supporting migration and transition activities

What we are looking for

You have demonstrable experience as a business or functional analyst, with at least five years in analysis roles and at least three years specifically as a business analyst. You bring at least two years of experience in the energy sector and at least two years working with MIG4/MIG6.

Further requirements:

• Experience with change management (training, education)
• Experience with quality management (testing)
• Experience with development and optimisation of business processes (BPM)
• Strong communication skills
• Knowledge of data management measure processes
• Stakeholder management experience is a strong asset
• Fluent Dutch (CEFR level C2)

You are diplomatic and communicate easily with different stakeholders. You contribute to better collaboration through information exchange with colleagues. You are open to being deployed flexibly depending on the evolving context and can easily deal with changing circumstances.

A good knowledge of market operations (current and/or MIG6) is essential.

The setting

This assignment runs from early November 2026 to early November 2027, with the possibility of extension. The role is based in the Ghent region. Teleworking is possible in consultation with the team lead; occasional travel to other locations may be required.

You will work full-time in a team that acts as the bridge between various internal and external stakeholders in the energy market.
