The Programme Coordinator will oversee the transition and governance of changes of the Strategic Space Situational Awareness System (3SAS) Programme in the operating and maintenance phase. They will organize and coordinate activities related to the Programme's Steering Group, advise on budget and implementation, act as product owner, and manage the relationship between technology and business at the project level.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare project documentation in close coordination with project staff and IS stakeholders.
  • Participate in project sessions to analyse business and technology needs and outline/select proposed technical solutions.
  • Support cross-technology process improvement initiatives and contribute to continuous improvement using quality improvement methodologies (CMM, PMI, Prince2, etc.).
  • Organize and run meetings of project staff, internal clients and suppliers.
  • Produce and maintain oversight on all required projects' documentation and reports.
  • Work with information management and security staff to ensure applications comply with relevant policies and procedures.
  • Provide informative meetings to the Geospatial Section on projects' opportunities and updates.
  • Liaise and coordinate with project partners within NATO and external stakeholders.
  • Communicate difficult/sensitive information tactfully and deliver well-organized presentations.
  • Track tasks, schedule, and control project risks and issues.
  • Help analyse and discuss potential risks/benefits of technology solutions.
  • Proactively develop skills in planning, organization, new technology and communication.
  • Perform any other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Have a university degree in Information Systems, Computer Science or other relevant discipline.
  • Have a minimum of 3 years’ experience in the organization and management of multi-year projects in International Organizations.
  • Possess experience in ICT-related procurement processes, software development, software maintenance and/or system integration in an ICT environment.
  • Have knowledge of software development lifecycles (SDLC).
  • Possess the following minimum levels of NATO’s official languages (English/French): V ("Advanced") in one; II ("Elementary") in the other.
  • Experience in preparing reports, meeting notes, presentations, and structured documentation is considered an advantage.
  • In-depth understanding of Web development, IT infrastructure and technologies in general is considered an advantage.
  • Knowledge of geospatial systems and/or other relevant space-domain technologies and systems is considered an advantage.
