Electrical Construction Manager

Location: Mons, Belgium

Contract: 6 months

We are currently recruiting an Electrical Construction Manager for a 6-month contract based in Mons, Belgium.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist and take a leading role in site safety management in collaboration with the project and safety teams.
  • Provide leadership in site quality assurance alongside the QA Manager.
  • Manage, monitor, and report all project costs, including labour, materials, plant and equipment, variations, and valuations.
  • Support the coordination and oversight of daily site operations.
  • Ensure accurate reporting of direct labour and subcontractor hours to the time administrator for central tracking.
  • Chair and contribute to site meetings, including internal project reviews, engineering and planning coordination meetings, and handover meetings.
  • Support project close-out activities, including final account settlement, O&M manuals, punch lists, safety files, QA documentation, equipment and plant relocation, and project plan completion, in conjunction with the site project manager.
  • Ensure team input into weekly progress reports compiled from supervisors, highlighting percentage completion against WBS codes and identifying any risks or issues.
  • Provide strong safety and quality leadership across all project activities.
  • Ensure all subcontractor documentation, including safety records, is kept up to date and properly archived.
  • Assist in labour forecasting based on input from field supervisors.
  • Work with the commercial team to ensure all variations are identified, captured, and costed for client submission.
  • Carry out any other duties required to support successful project delivery.

Essential Criteria

  • 5–7 years’ experience as a Construction Manager or Supervisor on large-scale industrial construction projects.
  • Trade background or third-level qualification in engineering or construction-related discipline.
  • Proven experience coordinating and managing complex, large-scale projects.
  • Pharmaceutical industry experience is advantageous.
