Job description

As a Project Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing complex, large-scale Renewable Energy projects from start to finish, ensuring all projects are completed on time, within scope, and within budget. You will work across multiple sites, coordinating diverse teams and managing stakeholders to ensure the highest standards of quality, safety, and environmental compliance are met.

  • Project Oversight: Lead and manage multiple mid to large-scale solar PV projects simultaneously, ensuring successful project delivery across various sites.
  • Stakeholder Management: Serve as the primary point of contact for all project-related stakeholders, including site managers, subcontractors, clients, and suppliers.
  • Budget & Timeline Management: Ensure all projects stay within the approved budget and timeline, while maintaining the agreed scope and quality standards.
  • HSE Compliance: Champion Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) standards, conducting site inspections and ensuring full compliance with relevant regulations.
  • Reporting & Communication: Provide clear, timely, and accurate updates on project progress, financial status, and potential risks to all stakeholders.
  • Procurement & Resource Management: Oversee the procurement process for subcontractors, labor, and materials, ensuring the timely and efficient delivery of resources.
  • Risk Management: Identify and address potential project risks early, developing effective mitigation strategies.
  • Technical Expertise: Provide technical input on project feasibility, contract reviews, and commercial activities to ensure the successful execution of solar installations.
  • Testing & Commissioning: Oversee the testing and commissioning phase, ensuring installations meet all performance and safety standards.
  • Project Handover: Ensure smooth transition of completed projects to the asset management and services teams, with full documentation and operational processes in place.

Your profile

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of project management experience, with a proven track record in the solar or renewable energy sector.
  • Experience managing large-scale, complex industrial projects, particularly within heavy industrial sites.
  • Strong knowledge of Solar PV systems, including layout design, energy production calculations, and medium-to-high voltage (MV and HV) systems.
  • In-depth understanding of Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) standards and regulations.
  • Exceptional communication and leadership skills, with the ability to influence and manage diverse teams and stakeholders.
  • Previous experience with public sector projects, including navigating permits, subsidies, and regulatory deliverables.
  • Strong organizational, planning, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficient in ERP systems for financial and budget management, as well as MS Office and project management software.
  • Fluent in English; proficiency in Dutch and French is highly preferred.
  • VCA-VOL certified.
