We are looking for a skilled Radar Systems Engineer to design, develop and validate radar hardware and signal‐processing solutions for advanced defence and aerospace platforms. You will be part of a technical team that transforms system concepts into reliable, high‐performance radar architectures. The position combines engineering design, on‐site integration, testing and direct customer support to ensure that radar systems meet stringent performance, safety and security requirements. Key responsibilities Lead the design and integration of radar subsystems, including antenna arrays, transmit/receive modules, and data‐processing pipelines. Develop and execute simulation models (MATLAB, Python, or C++) to predict system performance and to evaluate new algorithms. Implement and optimise digital signal‐processing (DSP) pipelines for target detection, tracking and discrimination. Conduct on‐site hardware‐in‐the‐loop testing, campaign‐of‐trials and acceptance testing for radar installations. Produce and maintain technical documentation (requirements traceability, verification & validation reports). Provide technical expertise and training to internal teams and external customers. Analyse performance data, troubleshoot anomalies, and implement corrective actions to improve reliability and accuracy. Collaborate with cross‐functional teams (mechanical, communications, software, safety) to ensure seamless system integration. Mandatory skills & experience Proven experience as a Radar Engineer, Radar Systems Engineer, or Radar Specialist in defence, aerospace or related sectors. Strong background in radar signal processing and digital signal processing; hands‐on work with phased‐array/AESA architectures is essential. Proficiency in MATLAB or C++ for simulation, algorithm development and data analysis. Solid knowledge of systems engineering and systems architecture, including requirements traceability and verification activities. Experience in on‐site integration, testing and campaign‐of‐trials for radar hardware. Ability to produce clear, concise technical documentation and generate validation reports. Demonstrated problem‐solving and root‐cause analysis capabilities. Experience delivering technical training and knowledge transfer to customers or internal teams.
