Context and purpose : As part of its international activities and in order to respond to a call for tenders, PEPPS (Belgian digital company) wishes to engage the services of a partner (freelance expert or specialized consulting firm) specialized in the development of databases and data analysis digital platforms related to the scope of EFSA's intervention (Food and feed safety, Nutrition, Plant protection and plant health, Animal health and welfare).
Technical expertise is sought to further develop an Animal Welfare Data Hub, designed to
support the submission, analysis and visualisation (inter alia) of animal welfare data &
information for the purpose of the monitoring and surveillance of animal welfare in the
food production chain. The data hub will ensure data quality, security, and compliance
with the FAIR data principles (Findable, Accessible, Interoperable, and Reusable).
Profile: Project Manager for the coordination of a platform development with at least 5 years’ experience in the development of databases and data analysis, related to animal welfare, animal health or other areas covered by EFSA.
We need someone with an excellent command of English (C1 level minimum) with at least 5 years of relevant experience in the technical fields concerned.
This would be a 1-year contract, renewable annually up to a maximum of 4 years.
We will need a CV in European format
Start date : March 2026
