De maatschappelijke en bedrijfsgebonden innovatie-behoeften in kaart te brengen;
De rol van de bouwsector als technologie-integrator te versterken;
Onderzoek, ontwikkeling en innovatie bij de bouwbedrijven zelf en de aanverwante toeleveranciers te stimuleren.
Samen met haar partners het onderzoek op doelgerichte wijze te coördineren, en de uitbouw van de onderzoekscapaciteit bij de bedrijven en de partners te ondersteunen, maar zelf geen onderzoekscapaciteit uit te bouwen, om zo verdere versnippering van middelen te voorkomen.
De bestaande innovatiecapaciteit te inventariseren en gericht in te zetten op het voldoen aan zowel de maatschappelijke als de bedrijfsgebonden innovatiebehoeften. Daarbij zal ook de gepaste ondersteuning gemobiliseerd worden, met als doel een win-win situatie te realiseren voor de betrokken bedrijven en de partners. Waar mogelijk, wordt ook beleidsgericht onderzoek gekoppeld aan innovatie bij bedrijven (bijv. Bouwinnovatie (producten, diensten, methoden en processen) te valoriseren door de kennis erover te verspreiden naar de bedrijven en hen te ondersteunen bij de implementatie ervan.
Met visie en impact op de toekomst van de bouwsector
Ontwikkelen van een duurzaam financieel model om de financiële onafhankelijkheid van Flanders Build op middellange termijn te realiseren.
Werken aan de erkenning – door de Vlaamse overheid – van Flanders Build als speerpuntcluster in Vlaanderen.
Creatieve denker met een proactieve en resultaatgerichte aanpak, die een visie in hoofdlijnen en langetermijnbeleid kan vertalen in gerichte roadmaps en operationele actieplannen.
~ Gepassioneerd door de nieuwste trends en ontwikkelingen op vlak van (bouw)innovatie, evenals door de maatschappelijke vraagstukken waar de bouwsector een oplossing voor kan bieden.
